Alice Caroline Jollimore Thomas on Grandchildren
Barb Do you often get together
as a family?
Alice They come boxing day a lot
Barb Busy spot down here now is
it?
Alice Over 50, there’s a
lot more then that. But a lot of them aren’t right around
here it’s impossible for them to get here and in the winter
time
Barb It must be quite a feeling
to look at all those people and know they all come from you
Alice Yeah I know, when you just
think of it even, is it possible
Nat Well great, great grandchildren
Alice Well I think theirs almost
80 in the whole family like
Barb That’s wonderful
Nat How old is your oldest great
great grandchild?
Alice That would be Scott’s
baby,
Nat Their all babies?
Alice No 3 and maybe 5
Nat Yeah
Alice That would be the oldest,
well Cindy’s is the ones going on 3
Nat So they know you then
Alice Well I’ve seen then
one little and Sherry’s little one she must be 4 now
? They don’t come around
as much
Alice One lives in Sackville and
one lives in St. Margaret’s Bay Tantallon or somewhere you
don’t see them as much
? Well Scott just came from Vancouver
Alice Yeah
? And his child we haven’t
seen that one yet
Nat Their lucky to know you, no
too many people get to know their great great grandmother
Alice No they don’t I didn’t
even know my grandmother very good, either one of them
Nat So do you think you enjoyed
growing up down here?
Alice Oh I think we had a good
life, until we were old enough to realize we wanted something
different, I that’s the way in every place I guess.
Nat Yeah
